Why TRU?
Rankings aren’t everything about a school. Sometimes choosing a down-to-earth path can often go a long way. As a public school, TRU has less competitive pressure and more resources than schools like UBC to ensure that every student is on the right path from the first day of university.
TRU’s Surroundings
The city of Kamloops is located in central BC, bordered by metropolitan Vancouver to the west, Banff National Park to the east, and the U.S.-Canada border more than 100 kilometers to the south, with the Thomson River flowing in between. The city is also crossed by Highway 1, the main artery of Canada, and although it is not a city with a constant flow of traffic, it is a city full of life with visitors coming from all over the world.

Introduction to the School of Nursing
The School of Nursing, one of TRU’s leading programs, is so luxuriously equipped that every first-time visitor to the School of Nursing building will wonder to themselves: is this a school or a hospital? To build up students’ clinical experience, TRU has installed simulated robots, each of which imitates the actions of a patient in a real hospital to the best of its ability, thus allowing students to effectively practice their skills. At the same time, instructors can observe students’ actions through live cameras in the simulated wards, allowing for immediate instruction and efficient feedback and training for students. The high standards of the teaching process create an enjoyable learning experience for each graduate and make TRU graduates one of the most sought-after fresh graduates by employers across BC.

About the School of Business
TRU’s School of Business has a strong faculty with its own academic advising department dedicated to providing students with academic and career guidance. The School of Business places the utmost importance on communication and perspective, and TRU has a large number of common spaces for students to work in teams, as well as an annual campus job market that provides internship opportunities for students.
Introduction to the College of Science
TRU has a strong foundation in science and engineering, which is one of the most sought-after fields of study, including data science, biology, physics and chemistry. At the same time, TRU also encourages students to go beyond the campus to enhance their professional abilities through the coop program and improve their competitiveness for employment.
Introduction to the School of Law
The TRU Law School, which is a general part of a higher education institution, is also very receptive to applications from international students. Some students choose to apply to a different program first, and at the same time, their English proficiency has improved significantly after their first year of college, and they have a better chance of success than if they apply directly.
Master of Education Program
TRU’s M.Ed. program offers a variety of facilities for students who meet all of the requirements, but whose language scores are still lacking.
For students who meet all of the requirements but still have insufficient language scores, the program offers a one-semester matriculation program that allows students to transfer to the program after passing several language courses. The M.Ed. program is a two-year program that allows students to apply for a three-year post-graduation work visa after completing the two years of study, which can provide a great deal of convenience in finding a job in the local area or immigrating. In addition, students enrolled in the program can enroll their children for free in the primary and secondary schools surrounding the university if they bring their children with them.
